Ishan Kishan Names Top 4 Captains; Excludes Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli

India’s young opener Ishan Kishan is currently plying his trade for Jharkhand in the ongoing season for the Ranji Trophy. Recently, he impressed one and all with his stunning performances for the Indian cricket team in the ODI series against Bangladesh, where he also registered a double century in the 3rd ODI match. In this process, he became the fourth Indian batter after Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, and Rohit Sharma hit a double ton. He continued with his purple patch as he smashed 132 and 22 runs against Kerala last week. He will be seen donning the Indian jersey again in the home season in January. 

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan was recently asked to name top-4 captains to lead their respective teams in international cricket. Responding to the same, Ishan rated Dhoni on top in terms of his captaincy skills.

Recently, a video of Kishan went viral on the internet, where he could be seen refusing a fan for signing his autograph in the same space as Dhoni as a mark of respect. Kishan, who hails from Patna, idolizes MS Dhoni for his captaincy, wicket-keeping, and sharp mind. Kishan revealed how MS Dhoni has helped him in terms of taking care of himself. Kishan further feels that even if he is able to do 70% of what Dhoni has done for India, it will be great. He said:

“I have seen him [MS Dhoni] all-round, what he does off the field and on the field, so the calmness and how he meets everyone. I think he has helped me alot on how to take of yourself, when you around so many people.”

Ishan Kishan rated Ricky Ponting second as his choice of best captain, who was followed by Graeme Smith and Brendon McCullum.
