On Day 4 of the ongoing 4th Test match, Virat extended his patient innings and converted his stunning knock to triple-digit figures before the end of the second session.
After the first half hour of the second session, Kohli scored a memorable century and became the quickest batter to touch the 75-century mark in international cricket. Kohli looked good to register a double century however, he eventually returned to the pavilion after scoring 186 runs off 364 balls, smashing 15 boundaries.

Ishan, who warmed the bench in all four matches after not being able to break it into the playing XI was seen making a gesture toward Virat. Meanwhile, the ongoing fourth Test match is a must-win match for India in order to qualify for the upcoming World Test Championship final. A win against Australia will confirm a place in the summit clash that will be played at The Oval in London from June 7 to June 11 against Australia.
However, if India fails to win, then their chances will depend on the result of the two-match Test series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
