Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli is one of the fiercest cricketers, who is known for both his abilities and his level of fitness. He is a truly determined athlete, who is very well-focused on improving his game and staying fit. Time and again, he set the standard for fitness and powerful performances. He follows a strict diet and an even strict workout regime. He leaves no stone unturned when it comes to giving us fitness goals.
Kohli has come a long way. While today he is regarded as one of the best cricketers in terms of fitness, there was a time around 2012 when his commitment was questioned because of his image of being a ‘party animal’.

Ishant Sharma Revealed Virat Kohli Was A Party Animal
Recently, veteran Indian pacer Ishant Sharma hailed Kohli for his transformation from a party guy to the fittest player in the team. He also shared an unknown story from their Under-19 days together, where he scored a double-century after partying all night. He revealed:
“He has changed a lot. I have seen his party phase and his tattoo phase as well.”
He added:
“We were playing an U-19 match in Kolkata. He was batting overnight, yet partied all night and next day he scored 250. I have seen that phase of Kohli as well.” The 34-year-old continued, “The best thing about him, according to me, is how he changed his physical aspect starting 2012, after the World Cup. He was training, but because of his diet, his mental strength and cricket in general went to a different level.”
Sharma Hailed Kohli For His Fitness
Virat Kohli’s love for food, especially his love for Chole Bhature is known to all. However, Ishant also revealed that he has seen Kohli eating Chole Bhature once or twice since 2012. He revealed:
“Delhi people like eating a lot, but he left everything. From 2012 to now, I have only seen him eating chole bhature once or twice. On my cheat day, I have paneer nan,”
Further, praising Kohli’s positive attitude towards the game of cricket, Ishant Sharma said that the word ‘hope’ doesn’t exist in his dictionary because for him it’s all about belief. He said:
“Sachin [Tendulkar] paaji used to say hope is not a word, it’s a feeling. But if you speak to Virat Kohli, the word hope does not exist in his dictionary. His dictionary only has belief. If you have belief, you can do anything. He is so intense.”
