An old Tweet of Rohit Sharma resurfaced on social media after a fan got hurt because of a six by the Indian captain during the ongoing Pink-ball Test match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

On Saturday, during Rohit’s short stay at the pitch, an unfortunate incident took place on the ground before the cricketer was dismissed by Lasith Embuldeniya. Rohit unintentionally hit a fan with one of his sixes, during his knock. His six over deep midwicket hit a spectator’s nose. The fan was immediately given first aid, following which he was moved to Hosmat Hospital for an x-ray.

However, this wasn’t the first time that a six-off Rohit Sharma has touched the nose of a fan. Well, an old Tweet of Rohit Sharma, that goes back to 2013, has resurfaced on social media after a fan was hit on his nose today.

Well, during a game in IPL 2013 season, a Mumbai Indians fan was hit on his nose in a similar fashion — off a six by Rohit. After the match, Rohit took to his social media and penned down a special Tweet for his fan, wherein he can be seen apologizing to a fan, who got hit on the nose by his six. The tweet read:

“To the guy who got hit on the nose by my six, SORRY buddy!! Hope you’re doing okay!”

In 2019, during the World Cup 2019 match between India and Bangladesh in Birmingham, Rohit unintentionally hit a fan with one of his sixes in the match-winning 104-run knock. After the game, Rohit met the injured fan, to check on her and gift her a signed hat.

Well, we at The Cricket Lounge hope that the fan isn’t hurt too bad and she recovers really soon.
