South African great, Jacques Kallis, who is hailed as one of the best all-rounders, was a brilliant batter, a penetrative fast bowler, and one of the safest slip fielders the game has ever seen. In his glorious career spanning 19 years, Kallis achieved several statistical milestones. Legendary South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis decided to pick his all-time ODI XI.

Well, lately, an interview, where Jacques Kallis had collaborated with Lord’s Cricket Ground, has resurfaced on social media and is going viral.

Jacques Kallis’ all-time ODI XI is no less than a delight for the Indian cricket fans as three cricketers from team India have made it to the list. He picked two players each from Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan in his all-time xi.

For the opening position, Kallis picked batting legend, Sachin Tendulkar, to open the innings. His second choice for the opening position raised many eyebrows as he decided to go with the legendary Brian Lara, as he didn’t bat much at the top of the order in the ODI format.

Kallis picked the former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting as his no. 3 batter followed by the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli and former Proteas skipper AB de Villiers.

Followed by him, Kallis surprised everyone with his decision of all-rounder as he picked England’s Andrew Flintoff, ignoring himself, Kapil Dev, Imran Khan, and Ian Botham. The bowling department consisted of just one spinner – Shane Warne, while he named Shaun Pollock, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis to lead the pace attack.

Jacques Kallis’ all-time ODI XI:

Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Andrew Flintoff, MS Dhoni, Shane Warne, Shaun Pollock, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis.
