India’s sensational bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of action since September, has finally returned to bowling and he announced his return by releasing a video of himself bowling “full throttle” during a net session. Jasprit’s absence is being felt badly by the Indian side and its supporters ever since he suffered the injury.

The injury kept him away from the Asia Cup 2022 in the UAE, following which he returned to the home T20I series against Australia, however, only to aggravate the injury once again. Ahead of the 2022 T20 World Cup 2022, the Indian cricket team suffered a major blow when Bumrah was forced to withdraw from the competition owing to a back injury. It was confirmed that Bumrah will miss the remainder of the action in 2022. After missing two marquee events — Asia Cup and the World Cup, he was also rested for the New Zealand and Bangladesh tours to let him recover fully from the injury.

The Indian cricket team is all set to lock horns with Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia, in the first quarter of 2023. It will be interesting to see if Bumrah will be back for the upcoming series, especially during the much-important Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series. This series will also decide India’s fate in terms of the World Test Championship’s final qualification.
