Jasprit Bumrah Has Fallen Down In The Latest ICC Rankings

International Cricket Council (ICC) recently released the latest Test rankings after the completion of the second Test match between Pakistan and England at Southampton. As per the latest ICC Test rankings, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has retained the 2nd rank among the batsmen, however, Jasprit Bumrah has dropped down to the 9th position among bowlers.

Virat Kohli is currently on 2nd spot with 886 rating points and is joined by two more Indian batsmen in the top 10 who also have retained their positions — Cheteshwar Pujara (8th position) with 766 rating points and Ajinkya Rahane (10th position) with 726 rating points. However, the list of batsmen is still being led by Australia’s batting stalwart Steve Smith.

Meanwhile, former top-ranked fast bowlers — Stuart Broad and James Anderson have made advances in the latest ICC Test Player Rankings after some fine bowling in the drawn second Test match against Pakistan. While Stuart Broad moved up one slot to the second position after a 4 wicket haul for 56, on the other hand, James Anderson moved two slots to 14th with figures of 3 for 60. However, India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah slipped down to the ninth position.
In the points table for World Test Championship, Team India is still leading with 360 points, followed by Australia (296). England continued to remain in the 3rd position with 279 points and Pakistan is currently in 5th position with 153 points.
