“Love And Peace”: Jasprit Bumrah Reacts After Receiving Gift From Shaheen Afridi

“Love And Peace”: Jasprit Bumrah Reacts After Receiving Gift From Shaheen Afridi – The friendly relations between Indian and Pakistani cricketers have perhaps never been this good and cordial as it is with the current set of cricketers.

We have the gradual bond forming between Virat Kohli with Shadab Khan and Babar Azam, and now the spearhead fast bowlers of both teams, Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi, have also put forward an exemplary display of friendship for people across the two sides of the border.

After play ended on Sunday in Colombo in the India vs Pakistan Super 4 match in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023, Shaheen Afridi gave a special gift to Jasprit Bumrah on becoming the father for the first time in his life.

Earlier this month, Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan had become parents for the first time to a baby boy, who they named Angad. They announced this news on social media after the birth of their child, for which Bumrah had returned to Mumbai from Pallekele and had to miss the match against Nepal. He then quickly flew back to Colombo for the Super 4 round.

The IND vs PAK Super 4 match was interrupted by rain on Sunday, but it will continue on Monday as the ACC had alloted Monday as the reserve day.

On Sunday, Shaheen presented Jasprit Bumrah with a gift box. Shaheen gave wishes for the health of Bumrah’s child. The video of this brief meeting went viral on social media with fans adoring both Shaheen Afridi for this gesture and Bumrah for his grace in accepting the gift.

Later on then, the pair took to Twitter to express their affection for each other.

Shaheen Afridi tweeted: “Love and peace. Congratulations @Jaspritbumrah93 and family on the birth of your child. Prayers for the entire family. We battle on the field. Off the field we are just your regular humans.”

To this, Jasprit Bumrah replied: “Beautiful gesture, my family and I are overwhelmed with the love! Best wishes always. @iShaheenAfridi”

Meanwhile, India will resume their innings at the score of 147/2 in 24.1 overs which they made after the 121-run opening stand between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill.
