Jasprit Bumrah’s Family Member Found Dead After Went Missing

While Jasprit Bumrah is playing the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka in Dharamshala, the news of sad demise of his grandfather is pouring in. The body of Santokh Singh, grandfather of Jasprit Bumrah was recovered a day after he went missing.

Reportedly Santokh Singh had gone to meet Jasprit Bumrah on his birthday on December 5. He was however denied by Bumrah’s mother and was left dejected. Santokh Singh was an auto Driver settled in Uttarakhand and had gone to Ahmedabad to meet his grandson to be able to see him on his birthday.

Santokh Singh initially had a family business but with the death of Jasprit Bumrah’s father it crumbled. The business went so much into shackles that it had to be sold off and Santokh Singh had to resort to driving an auto rickshaw.

After he went missing the daughter of Santokh Singh registered a missing complaint the next day. She also alleged the mother of Jasprit Bumrah, Daljit Kaur for not letting Santokh Singh meet Jasprit and also denying to share the phone number. She talked about how her father was grief stricken when he wasn’t allowed to meet his very own grandson.

Jasprit Bumrah very recently received his first test call for the series against South Africa. This news however will come across as a shock to him for having lost his grandfather like this.

His grandfather was 84 years old and on December 8 he called up his son (Jasprit Bumrah’s Uncle) and told him that he was leaving to meet his deceased wife. Following that he went missing.
