Jaydev Unadkat Finally Responds After Getting Ignored For Test Call-Up

Indian cricketer Jaydev Unadkat was snubbed from India’s squad for their upcoming three-month long tour of England, however, the cricketer is more motivated than ever to ear a Test call-up.

Well, the Board of Control for Cricket in India recently announced the squad for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final and five-Test series against England. India picked up as many as 6 pacers, including Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav. The extended squad includes six frontline pacers and three standbys – Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna and Arzan Nagwaswalla.

Saddened by Unadkat’s absence, formed Indian cricketer Dodda Ganesh took to his social media and made a hard-hitting statement. In his tweet, he stated that it’s ‘perplexing’ to see Unadkat being ignored despite giving consistent performances at the first-class level. He wrote:

“What else does @JUnadkat need to do to get into the Indian test squad. It’s perplexing to see him being ignored again and again despite great performances year after year at the FC level,” Ganesh, who played 5 internationals for India, said.

The tweet soon caught the attention of Jaydev Unadkat, who came up with a heart-winning reply. In his reply, Jaydev wrote that the concern from him has motivated him even more and he is not waiting for the next season. He wrote:

“Your concern motivates me even more! Bring on the next season..”
