Rajasthan Royals was the last team to get qualified for the playoffs, they fought hard to win the tournament but were disqualified, however, the real fight happened at the 2 day auction, where the team fought for two days to buy left-arm Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat.
He played an important role in the now de-active Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in the year 2017. He was the second highest wicket-keeper in that season.

There was a tough competition at the auction in between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings, who continued to bid for him till Rs.11 crore but Rajasthan Royals bought Jaydev Unadkat for Rs.11.5 crores.
However, Jaydev Unadkat wasn’t able to justify the huge price he was bought for as he wasn’t able to fulfill all the responsibilities that came with it. Unadkat entered the competition with huge expectations but however failed miserably and couldn’t live upto the price tag. Infact he became a subject for trolls at the social media. Twitterati were trolling him brutally on social media.

At an expensive economy of 9.65, Jaydev Unadkat took 11 wickets in 15 matches that he played. Now, let’s just break down his price per wicket he took.
Well, his per wicket cost is calculated to a whopping 1.04 crores per wicket. Unadkat is the most expensive bowler in the league in terms of the price per wicket.
