Jemimah Rodrigues Took The Most Stunning Catch Of WPL 2023: The ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) is getting more thrilling and entertaining with every passing match. The fans have already witnessed some really amazing cricketing encounters in the tournament so far. While the batting and bowling have been exceptional, the fielding effort has also been on point.

On Thursday, another top performance on the field was on display during the match between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

After getting bowled out for just 105 runs on the board, Delhi Capitals needed a big break early in the game. However, they were kept out of the game by Yastika Bhatia and Hayley Matthews, who set up a 65-run partnership for the first wicket.

Matthews attempted to wrap up the game fast, but she failed to do so. She was unable to time the ball right, and it went high into the air. To send the batter back to the dugout, Jemimah Rodrigues, who was standing on the topes, rushed towards the ball and made a superb diving catch.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra, who was on air in the Hindi commentary, called it an early contender for the catch of the tournament. The video of the amazing effort from the DC start has also been shared by the official handle of the tournament.

However, the wicket came too late for the Delhi-based side as Mumbai Indians had already put themselves in a comfortable position in the game. Amelia Kerr alongside skipper Harmanpreet Kaur completed the remaining runs as they chased down the total successfully with 5 overs to spare, handing Delhi their first defeat of the season.

This win also means that Mumbai Indians is now the only team in the competition to remain unbeaten while Delhi suffered their first loss in three games.
