Joe Root kick starts his Rajasthan Royals journey: On March 31, 2023, the world’s greatest cricketers will compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the largest Twenty20 league in the world.

The Rajasthan Royals, who reached the finals in the 2022 event, will also be hoping to repeat their success in the upcoming season. In 2022, RR was captained by Sanju Samson and they trounced every opponent they encountered except for Hardik Pandya and the Gujarat Titans.

It was clear that Rajasthan was going all out to defend their championship during the IPL 2023 auctions, as they signed a slew of superstar players like Jason Holder, Adam Zampa, and Joe Root.

Joe Root recently joined the RR camp before the commencement of the tournament and participated in his first training session with the squad. The team used Twitter to give fans a glimpse into Root’s training sessions.

In his first training session with the team, Root was filmed playing his trademark cover drive and knocking over a camera. “26.03.23 – Root’s first ball as a Royal!” reads the tweet’s caption, posted by RR.

Root’s first ball for the Royals was on March 23 (the 26th).

The first game of the Indian Premier League season features Rajasthan Royals versus Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Rajasthan Royals will open their Indian Premier League 2023 season on April 4 against the Aiden Markram-led Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On Sunday, April 2, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, last year’s runner-up will take against the tournament’s top seed in hopes of claiming their first victory. Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, and Jason Holder are just a few of the explosive heavy guns that Skipper Sanju Samson can count on to deliver the goods for the franchise.

IPL will make its first-ever appearance in North East India on April 5 when the Royals select Guwahati’s ACA stadium as their second home field for their opening match against the Punjab Kings.
