England’s star cricketer Jofra Archer has become a craze among the fans all thanks to his exceptional bowling skills. However, the England cricket fans have received a major blow as Archer has been ruled out for the rest of the year after a scan revealed that the sensational pacer has suffered a recurrence of a stress fracture of his right elbow. The England and Wales Cricket Board also confirmed the news of Archer’s injury.

The fast bowler will also miss the rest of the English summer as well as the much-awaited T20 World Cup and the Ashes in Australia because of his elbow injury. It was in May when the sensational pacer underwent surgery to remove a bone fragment from his elbow.

Though, Jofra made his comeback for Sussex last month and was expected to play a key role in both red-ball and white-ball cricket for England in the upcoming tournament, however, last week he underwent scans, that revealed the recurrence of a persistent elbow issue. He has missed a number of England games because of the same elbow issue over the past 18 months. He was even sitting out in this year’s IPL.

An ECB statement revealed: “As part of (Archer’s) return-to-bowling programme, he became aware of increasing discomfort in his elbow during matches for Sussex in the Vitality Blast and a 50-over friendly against Oxfordshire. The operation [was] not related to the stress fracture that sidelined the player previously.”

“He will now spend time on an extended break from cricket before returning for a medical review in early autumn.”

Meanwhile, Jofra Archer wrote a philosophical tweet after his injury, which has been going insanely viral on social media. Archer wrote:

“Everything Happens for a reason”
