India’s Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara impressed one and all with his ‘rare’ aggressive show on Day 3 of the ongoing 3rd Test match at the Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds. Pujara walked out to bat at number 3 and surprisingly, took the game by storm with his ruthless performance to bring the Indian side back to the game.

All thanks to Pujara’s powerful batting show, team India reached 215 for 2 at stumps with him batting on 91 and the Indian skipper unbeaten on 45. Pujara maintained his calm throughout his knock as he stood along with Rohit and Kohli to help team India clinch the final two sessions of the game. He formed a brilliant partnership with Rohit and added 82 runs. Later, Pujara joined hands with the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli and together they added 99 runs.

Pujara was facing a lot of criticism because of his unflattering strike rate, however, yesterday, Pujara gave a mouth-shutting reply to his critics with his powerful performance. Pujara smashed three early boundaries, going at a run-a-ball rate before putting his head down and focussed on pulling his side back to the game.
