Shardul Thakur has been living the best time of his career. He has become the unofficial partnership breaker for the Indian cricket team. It all started during the 4th T20 match of the 5-match T20I series when Shardul showed his brilliance and since then there have been no turning backs for the Indian bowler.

Whether team India is in need of some desperate breakthrough or taking wickets in the latter stages of the match, Thakur has become Virat Kohli’s, go-to man.

In the ongoing third and last ODI match against England, Thakur showed his masterclass once again as he picked 4 wickets. Dawid Malan and England’s stand-in skipper Jos Buttler became the first two victims of Thakur, however, the duo of Liam Livingstone and Dawid Malan was going strong and had already stitched a 60-run partnership as they brought their team back in the game.

This is when Shardul came and gave a much-needed breakthrough to team India by removing right-hander Livingstone. Later, he picked the wicket of Adil Rashid to complete his 4-wickets haul.

Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with amazing reactions from the fans on it. From cricketers, experts to fans, everyone took to their social media to applaud the masterclass of Shardul.

Among many, popular journalist Gaurav Kalra took to his Twitter and wrote a beautiful post dedicated to Shardul Thakur. In his tweet, he hailed Thakur’s masterclass and how the cricketer has been valuing every opportunity and every ball he faces or delivers. He wrote:

“just filled with admiration for shardul thakur…years of the hardest imaginable yards to give himself the chance to be on this stage.. valuing every opportunity, every ball he faces or bowls… remarkable young man! #INDvENG”
