Kapil Dev Named The Biggest Asset In Team India For T20 World Cup: The Indian cricket team is all set to begin their campaign in the ongoing T20 World Cup with a blockbuster clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24th at the Dubai International Stadium. The blockbuster clash promises to be a thrilling start to the world cup campaign of the Men in Blue.

It has become one of the most talked-about topics on social media, with several experts and cricketers coming up with their opinions and playing XI.

Recently, legendary all-rounder and former Indian skipper Kapil Dev, in an exclusive interview,  also talked about the Men in Blue and their upcoming stint in the T20 World Cup. The first question that Kapil Dev was asked ‘Who among the current lot of young players does he love to watch?’. 

Responding to this, Kapil Dev was quick in naming the young Indian keeper-batsman KL Rahul. He also called KL Rahul the biggest asset for the Indian cricket team for the T20 World Cup 2021.




“K L Rahul. I just love to watch him bat. He has so much confidence in the shots he plays and now with all the experience Rahul can be a huge asset for India in this T20 World Cup. I have always enjoyed seeing him play and I feel he will do a lot of good things for Indian cricket going forward,”

When asked about whether the Indian side has a chance of winning the prestigious World Cup trophy, Kapil Dev said:

“I don’t answer that question you know. Rather, I will say they need to make the top 4. That’s what the aim should be, for then an entirely new tournament starts thereafter. And yes India definitely has the team to make the top 4!”

Furthermore, he also talked about the inclusion of legendary Indian skipper MS Dhoni as the mentor for team India. He was asked if Dhoni’s presence can make a difference to the Indian side, Kapil Dev is confident it will. He said:

“Dhoni is one of the calmest players around and has just won the IPL. So he is fully up to speed with everything that is going on. He should be able to give ideas that will help Virat in the middle. And not too long ago was he a part of the dressing room, and that should also help the boys”

Meanwhile, r, KL Rahul was seen in a red-hot form in the just-concluded edition of the Indian Premier League. In the 13 games he played for Punjab Kings, KL Rahul amassed 626 runs.

Recently, India defeated England by 7 wickets in the first warm-up match and KL Rahul picked up from where he left. He once again starred with the bat as he played a knock of 51 runs.
