After a long wait and six failed attempts, the Indian women cricket team has finally entered the finals of the World Cup and are all set to lock horns with the Australian cricket team in the final showdown on March 08, i.e, on Sunday. This tournament has by far been one of the most thrilling tournaments.
Ahead of the much anticipated final, American pop star Katy Perry visited the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) where she will be adding colors to the blockbuster tournament by performing live before and after the clash between the 1st time finalists India and 4-time champions Australia. This will be Katy Perry’s first performance as a pregnant woman and it will be more special as Sunday coincides with International Women’s Day.
During her visit to the MCG, Katty Perry interacted with the players from both sides. She even got a t-shirt from Australia cricket star Ellyse Perry during her interaction.

Strangely amidst her interaction, Katy Perry wanted to know India’s team combination when she met the Harmanpreet Kaur led team. While Veda Krishnamurthy said they are not allowed to reveal the playing XI for Sunday’s final, on the other hand, Jemimah Rodrigues, the top-order batter, who has now become a social media star gave a hilarious reply to Katy Perry’s query. She sai”
