Kevin Pietersen Slammed ICC For Poor Scheduling Of WTC Final: The ongoing historic World Test Championship Final between India and New Zealand has been badly impacted by the English weather conditions as another day was abandoned by the rain. Earlier, the Indian cricket team was bowled out for 217 runs in their first innings before New Zealand headed to Stumps on Day 3 at 101 for 2.

Only 141.1 overs have been bowled in the match so far, with the rain washing out the entire Day 1 and Day 4, while interrupting play over the weekend as well. Disappointed with the situation, former England skipper Kevin Pietersen expressed his disappointment.

Meanwhile, former England skipper Kevin Pietersen, who is very active on social media, took to his Twitter and slammed the cricketing body on the poor scheduling of the World Test Championship final and stated that such important games “should NOT be played in the UK”. He wrote:

“It pains me to say it, but a ONE OFF & incredibly important cricket game should NOT be played in the UK.”

In another tweet, Kevin Pietersen claimed that if it was up to him to schedule the game, he would have preferred Dubai as it would have been a neutral venue with guaranteed weather and a fabulous stadium alongwith other things. He wrote:

“If it was up to me, Dubai would always host a one off match like this WTC game.
Neutral venue, fabulous stadium, guaranteed weather, excellent training facilities and a travel hub!
Oh, and ICC home is next to the stadium.”

His tweets soon went viral and attracted a lot of attention on social media from the fans. Among many, a Twitter user pointed out that the weather has been conducive for the game otherwise. The Twitter user wrote:

“why? it was blazing hot all last week and been great cricket when its been playable. two washouts in mid june super unlikely yano.”

KP soon noticed the tweet and came up with an interesting reply, explaining his statements. He wrote:

“Cos this very important game is a wash out. The weather isn’t predictable at all. A one off cannot be guaranteed to have the weather this match needs.”
