Delhi Capitals’ young opener Shafali Verma has impressed one and all with her batting prowess in the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2023. However, she couldn’t make it big for her side in the match against UP Warriorz on 7th March. She was dismissed off Tahila McGrath’s delivery as UP Warriorz’ Kiran Navgire pulled off a superb catch.

Showcasing terrific athleticism and judgment UP Warriorz Kiran Navgire pulled off a brilliant catch to get rid of Delhi Capitals opener Verma. Kiran’s safe hands cut short Shafali’s stay in the middle soon after the powerplay.

Kiran Navgire Took A Stunner To Get Rid Of Shafali Verma

The incident took place in the 7th over of the game when Shafali Verma was looking to smash pacer Tahila McGrath over the fine-leg fence. Shefali did time the ball well but she failed to get the elevation right on the ball. Moving swiftly to her right, Navgire dived low to her right at the fence and grabbed a stunner. She then safely landed and rolled over to complete the terrific grab.

The video of the stunning catch has been going viral on the internet and has left everyone in awe.

During her short knock of 14 balls, Verma smashed one four and a stunning six, which left everyone in awe of her.

Talking about the ongoing match between Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz, even though Warriorz did get the break early by dismissing the big wicket of Shafali, however, captain Meg Lanning played a stunning knock of 70 runs, and contributions from the lower order also ensured that Delhi posted a target of 211 for 4 in their quota of 20 overs.

Apart from Lanning, Jess Jonassen also played a quickfire knock of 42 runs off 20 balls, smashing 3 fours and 3 sixes.
