The wait is finally over for India’s young star batter Rinku Singh as he finally made his debut for the first t20I match of the three-match series. The young batter from Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh took the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) by storm and is now all set to showcase his potential on the highest stage.

As the game started, the returning pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is leading the Indian cricket team in the ongoing team, won the toss and decided to bowl first at Dublin’s ‘The Village’. During the toss, when asked about new faces, Jasprit Bumrah took Rinku and Prasidh Krishna‘s names and also revealed that he instructed both debutants to enjoy the game.

“We’ll bowl first, very happy to be here. The weather looks lovely. I feel good, looking forward to play some cricket. You realise what you were missing, very happy to be back. We expect nothing short of a fight from Ireland. As a fast bowler, I hope the pitch does something. We have two debuts – Rinku and Prasidh Krishna. Told them to just enjoy their cricket,” said Bumrah

Rinku Singh has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket, however, he came to the limelight for his incredible performances with the bat in IPL 2023.

His heroics in IPL 2023 will be remembered for ages to come. The star batter made the impossible possible for his team Kolkata Knight Riders during the IPL 2023. However, one of his most memorable knocks came in a game against Gujarat Titans, where he smashed five sixes in a row in the last five balls to seal an incredible win for KKR.
