Well, the star player is none other than Nitish Rana, the young player who has impressed everyone with his performances in the league. It happened in the last match KKR played, Nitish Rana had to walk off the field on 17 during their six-wicket win at RCB on April 29 due to an injury.
He even missed the practice session that happened today ahead of the match tonight. However, no clarifications have been made but a team official revealed, “He’s lower back spasms. The medical team will take a call tomorrow morning,”
This can be a big blow for Kolkata Knight Riders team, as Nitish Rana was performing exceptionally well and was in a great form since the day one. He has scored 188 runs in eight matches till now. Nitish Rana was bought for Rs.3.4 crores by KKR team during the IPL auctions.
Shubhman Gill, the young player who was batting at No.7 for KKR might get a promotion if Nitish Rana fails to make a cut tonight in the match and in upcoming matches as well.
