KL Rahul’s red-hot form has come as a big relief for the Indian cricket fans because right from the day Rahul made his debut for India, there was a strong belief among fans that he has what it takes to make it big at the international level. But, after his initial failures and lack of form, there was a widespread doubt among fans regarding his place in the team.
But, in the ongoing tour of New Zealand, KL Rahul has put all those doubts to bed and showed to the world why he is rated as one of the most talented and skillful batters in India. After scoring the bulk of runs for India in the T20I series, KL Rahul has carried his form in the ODIs as well and his 88 runs off just 64 balls allowed India to post a mammoth total of 347 runs.
During his innings, KL Rahul played many good looking strokes but the one he played off James Neesham’s bowling in the 48th over was the shot of the innings. Neesham was looking to bowl off-stump yorker to KL Rahul but the Karnataka batsman changed his stance, made a trigger movement and reverse-scooped it for a big six over third man. It was the most outrageous stroke of the innings and fans in the stadium and all those watching on their television screens were mesmerized by it.
