KL Rahul Is All Set To Replace Virat Kohli In IPL 2022

KL Rahul is one of the most destructive batsmen in the world and he will be one of the most demanded players in the upcoming IPL 2022 auctions. Rahul is presently Punjab Kings’s captain but there are reports that he has decided to move on from the franchise and found a new home in the Indian Premier League.

KL Rahul Is All Set To Replace Virat Kohli In IPL 2022

It is being reported that KL Rahul is likely to join the Lucknow franchise as their skipper and start a new chapter in his career. But, there is another report that has come out and it states that Punjab Kings have approached the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and complaint that the newly inducted Lucknow franchise has attempted to poach KL Rahul, and the board is looking into the matter very seriously. However, if the report of Rahul joining the Lucknow franchise is true, then KL Rahul is all set to become the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League. It is being reported by InsiderReport.in that KL Rahul has been offered INR 20 crore by the RPSG group.

Virat Kohli, who has recently stepped down as Royal Challenger Bangalore’s captain, is presently the highest paid cricketer in the IPL at INR 17 crore per season. But, if KL Rahul completes his move from Punjab to Lucknow, then he will get INR 20 crore and Virat Kohli, who will be the first player to be retained by RCB will get INR 16 crore, as per BCCI’s retention policy.

Rahul, who has so far played 94 matches in IPL and has 3,273 runs to his name at an average in excess of 41, is all set to break many auction records, but his fans would be hoping that he continues his good form and breaks many records on the field as well.
