After a glorified career of 14 years, AB de Villiers has now officially bid adieu from all the formats of the game. Yesterday, AB de Villiers took to Twitter and posted a video in which he revealed the biggest decision of his life. In his words he said:
“Today, at the same place, I want to let you know that I have decided to retire from all international cricket with immediate effect. After 114 Test matches, 228 ODIs and 78 T20Is, it is time for others to take over. I have had my turn and to be honest, I am tired.This is a tough decision. I have thought long and hard about it. I would like to retire still playing decent cricket. ”
His tweet went viral in no time and the entire cricketing world took to twitter to express their feelings about the same. From millions of fans, to the legendary cricketers, everyone felt a bit emotional and started paying tributes to the modern legend of the game.
