VIDEO: Krunal Pandya Suffered A Nasty Blow After Being Hit By Nicholas Pooran

On Saturday (April 1), Nicholas Pooran‘s shot hit Lucknow Super Giants all-rounder Krunal Pandya in the leg, dealing him a nasty blow. The incident occurred at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow during a match between LSG and Delhi Capitals.

This is the first game of the season for both teams in the IPL 2023. LSG, who were given the opportunity to bat first, have set an ambitious target of 193 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. In the absence of Quinton de Kock, Kyle Mayers opened the innings and smashed 73 runs off of 38 balls.

Pooran’s fine cameo of 36 runs at the end of the innings helped LSG post the big total. Ayush Badoni contributed to LSG’s victory by scoring 18 runs in only 7 balls. Both Khaleel Ahmed and Chetan Sakariya were responsible for two wickets for DC.

In the 18th over, with Pandya fielding at the non-strike end and Nicholas Pooran facing Mukesh Kumar, the incident occurred.

Pooran struck the pacer’s delivery outside off on the fourth ball of the over. It was a powerful shot from the West Indies star, and he did his best to duck out of the way. The shot was so powerful, however, that he was unable to escape in time. The ball struck his right leg before he could jump out of the way.

Thankfully, the ball only hit his pad. But that didn’t prevent Krunal from tripping and falling. It appeared to be a painful blow, but Pandya quickly put everyone’s worries to rest with a hearty chuckle.
