Kuldeep Yadav Talked About The Absence Of MS Dhoni’s Experience In Team India

Indian chinaman spinner, Kuldeep Yadav has opened up on the absence of MS Dhoni from the team stating that the Indian side is missing his experience. The veteran wicket-keeper batsman has been away from the cricket field ever since New Zealand defeated India in the 2019 World Cup semifinal. He recently made a return to Chennai Super Kings’ practice nets and the videos of his net practice have gone viral on the internet.

Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of Times of India Sports Awards, Yadav gave his opinion on the current wicket-keeping dilemma prevailing in the Indian team and said:
“Mahi bhai obviously brings a lot of experience with him and he has given the Indian team a lot. So when a player like that is not playing, of course, you miss him.”
He further talked about the competition between Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul for the wicket-keeping spot in the team and continued:
“They (Rahul and Pant) are young and are doing well. Both are keeping well so it has not made too much of a difference, but yes, you do miss his presence.”

It is noteworthy that Kuldeep Yadav’s performance charts have declined ever since MS Dhoni took a sabbatical from cricket. The left-arm chinaman spinner got dropped from the Indian ODI side after his disastrous outing against New Zealand in the first ODI. However, he was named in the list of Indian players who will feature in the iconic Asia XI vs World XI series. Further, Yadav gave an update of his preparations for IPL and signed off with the following statement:
“IPL is a platform that forces you to be alert all the time. For now I am fully ready for the tournament. It’s very important with the T20 format and the intensity is always high in this format. So I am fully focussed on it.”
