After the former Sri Lankan player Russel Arnold picked his Dream XI Test Team that excluded Virat Kohli the Very Very Special Laxman too has come out with his own Dream Test XI for test matches.

VVS Laxman has picked up a very interesting world eleven in which only two Indians have found a place in VVS Laxman’s Dream XI. Laxman has chosen Virat Kohli to be the skipper of his Dream XI. He chose Kohli over Steve Smith to lead his world XI. The other Indian player who has found a spot in VVS Laxman’s team is the stalwart spinner Ravi Ashwin.

Laxman Picked His Dream XI, Only Two Indians Are In The Team

What has been surprising in Laxman’s choice of his Dream XI is the fact that the likes of Alastair Cook, James Anderson, Dale Steyn and Cheteshwar Pujara who has been in an extremely good form have been excluded from Laxman’s team. Are we the only ones surprised by these exclusions? Wouldn’t Jimmy Anderson and Steyn add immensely to the team and wouldn’t Pujara be the perfect No 3 batsman here? Before this, even Mathew Hayden picked up his dream XI and unlike VVS he did have Anderson and Steyn in his side.

But Hayden’s XI did not have AB De Villiers while Laxman has AB De Villiers in his side as the wicketkeeper. Hayden instead had De Cock as the wicketkeeper of his team. Laxman has also picked up the Bangladesh all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan for his side, however; Hayden went for Ben Stokes as his all-rounder choice.

Here is Laxman’s Dream XI Virat Kohli (captain), Ashwin, AB De Villiers, David Warner, Joe Root, Steven Smith, Kagiso Rabada, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchel Starc, Hashim Amla and Shakib Al Hasan.
