The stalwart batsmen like to score big runs and increase their tally significantly with each match. These batsmen like to score a lot of hundreds and go on to pile on big hundreds and make their teams win.

These are the batsmen who have reached 9000 ODI runs the fastest and on top of the list sits the Indian captain, Virat Kohli. Getting 9000 One Day International runs is a big milestone and not many have reached this special milestone besides the fact that cricket has been now played for decades.

Virat Kohli is the fastest batsman to reach 9000 ODI runs. The staggering performer accomplished this feat in 194 innings followed by AB De Villiers who is second on the list.

If Virat Kohli is the most consistent performer in the limited overs format then AB De Villiers is the most destructive of all. AB De Villiers however stands defeated on the list by Kohli who took 194 innings to reach 9000 ODI runs as against 205 innings by De Villiers.
5 Indians in top 10

The list of 10 fastest batsmen to reach 9000 ODI runs looks very healthy for India. 5 of the 10 spots on this list have been taken up the Indians.

Besides Kohli there are Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni who feature on the list of 10 fastest batsmen to reach 9000 One Day International runs.

Sourav Ganguly is third on the list while Master Blaster follows him at the fourth spot. Former captain cool, MS Dhoni is at the 8th spot while ‘The Wall’ of Indian cricket is at the the 10th spot on the list of batsmen who are the fastest to reach 9000 ODI runs.
