Aakash Chopra Slammed A Twitter User For Calling Him A “Chamcha” Of Virat Kohli

India made a strong comeback and won the decider and the three-match ODI series against Australia at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. Australia batted first and lost both their openers in the first powerplay. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne stitched together a 100+ run partnership. India wasn’t getting a wicket when Virat Kohli showed some magic in the field.

The Indian captain who was fielding at cover first stopped a good shot from Marnus and saved a boundary. The next ball was hit straight to Kohli which once again resulted in a dot ball. The pressure of the dot balls forced Marnus to play an aerial shot through the covers off the next ball and he might have hit it in the gap but Kohli dived and took a sensational catch to get rid of Marnus Labuschagne.

Aakash Chopra

Everybody was impressed with the catch from the Indian captain and many people tweeted about it. Aakash Chopra who has played a couple of Tests for India and is contracted with Star India for Hindi commentary too tweeted about the catch saying, “What A Catch. Which followed a couple of outstanding saves that kept Marnus on strike.”

This was a normal appreciation tweet that had nothing offensive in it but a Twitter user Shashank Tiwari accused the cricket analyst of being partial as Chopra hadn’t tweeted about the Manish Pandey catch in the second ODI.

The user tweeted, “Hello Mr chamcha of Virat Kohli why you not tweeted when pandeyji takes a superb catch in last match”. There was no need of this tweet but he just wanted to criticize Chopra in some way.

The tweet didn’t go well with Aakash Chopra and he slammed the troller with a pledge in his next tweet. He even mentioned that he was commentating and he doesn’t tweet while doing commentary.

“Sorry. I pledge to tweet on every great catch taken in 2020. Get a life dude. I was on commentary when Pandeyji took that catch and called it. And Praised it. I don’t tweet while commentating.”
