Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell is currently representing the Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2020. The Australian all-rounder has not fired in the competition yet, but he is coming on the back of some excellent performances in the series against England. Maxwell played two good knocks against England and should start scoring big in IPL 2020 anytime soon.
While Maxwell is enjoying himself in the United Arab Emirates, his Indian origin fiancee Vini Raman is in Australia. She recently shared a photograph of herself with Maxwell, saying that she was bored to spend another weekend in lockdown without her love. Raman also wished if she could be in the Gulf nation with Glenn Maxwell.
This post received much love from her followers, but one of them tried to troll Raman for her choice. Maxwell has had mental issues in the past, and he had also taken a break from cricket for the same reason. The user asked Vini to ditch Maxwell and get an Indian lover, but he got an epic reply from the Australian cricketer’s fiancee. She shared the screenshot on her Instagram story and wrote:
“So, I normally don’t respond to comments like these as I know trolls do it just to get attention. But a 6-month lockdown has left me with plenty of time to educate ignorant morons. Loving someone of different skin colour doesn’t make you a sell-out. Loving a white person doesn’t mean I’m embarrassed to be an Indian. Loving a white person is my choice and I shouldn’t have to worry about what others will think.”
Glenn Maxwell also appreciated her response and shared her story, adding the following caption:
“Proud of you. Some people are just genuinely pathetic!!!”
IPL 2020 has produced many exciting matches in the first two weeks only. The tournament will only get more competitive as the days pass. It will be interesting to see if Glenn Maxwell could help KXIP win their maiden title.
