This news has come from the IPL Governing Council and isn’t a mere speculation. Rajeev Shukla, the Chairman of the IPL governing council has confirmed the addition of the soccer-like mid-season transfers in IPL 2018.

This move is well appreciated by the team owners as this adds a new twist to the league which has come along a decade-long journey. Not just the team owners but the fans too would be excited about this new feature as these mid-season transfers would keep everyone on the edge of excitement.
