Indian cricket team featuring KL Rahul is gearing up for the much-awaited Asia Cup 2023 which begins on August 30th. Team India will kickstart their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Pallekele.

Ahead of the tournament, the Men in Blue are sweating it out in Alur in the ongoing conditioning camp comprising various fitness routines.

Major Update About KL Rahul’s Health Before Asia Cup 2023

On Friday, one of the major highlights of the intense practice session was the comeback man KL Rahul sweating it out. KL Rahul is back into the mix after a few months of injury layoff. He still has a niggle and is expected to be fully fit during the tournament.

As per a report in the Times Of India, Rahul began Friday’s session with conditioning coaches. After warming up and his intense fitness routine, the right-hander had a long batting session during which he didn’t show any signs of discomfort.

According to the same report, KL has also resume keeping in nets, which is a major boost for Team India.

Rahul To Miss IND vs PAK Clash

Earlier, when a 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023 was announced, it was reported that Rahul might have to miss the second half of the IPL 2023. But the talented batter is expected to return for the 2nd or 3rd game of the Asia Cup.

Because of the niggle, KL Rahul will have to miss the opening clash of India’s campaign in Asia Cup 2023 which is against arch-rival Pakistan.

For the unversed, KL Rahul suffered a thigh injury while fielding in an IPL 2023 game against RCB and has been out of action ever since. Rahul had undergone surgery in Germany for the same, because of which he had to miss the second half of the IPL 2023. But the talented batter is expected to return for the 2nd or 3rd game of the Asia Cup.
