Marvel Movies Pay Tribute To Thala MS Dhoni: "Avenger" Has 7 Letters

The ‘Thala for a reason’ trend has spread like wildfire on social media in the past week. Fans are going wild with this and connecting any and every aspect of life with the number 7, which is the jersey number of MS Dhoni.

MS Dhoni was born on the 7th of July (7th month) and also batted at number 7 for India. He has donned the number 7 on his jersey right from the start of his career.

Many major brands and companies in India, and even abroad, have joined this bandwagon, connecting aspects of their brands and organization to the number 7, and ending their post with the ‘Thala for a reason’ remark as a tribute to the CSK skipper.

Joining this trend is Marvel Movies. Marve’s India-based Twitter account posted a tweet writing why the word “Avenger” has 7 words in it!

Adding this, Marvel India also posted three of their characters and connected some of their traits with the number 7.

Last year, MS Dhoni himself had talked about why he picked his jersey number 7.

He said: “A lot of people initially thought that 7 is a lucky number for me and all of that. But I chose the number for a very simple reason. I was born on the 7th of July. So it’s the 7th day of the 7th month, that was the reason.”

“Then whenever people kept asking me, I kept adding to the answer. 81 was the year, 8-1 is again 7, 7 is a very neutral number. I am not very superstitious about it, but it’s one number that is close to my heart and I have kept it over the years with me.”

Meanwhile, the CSK skipper is recovering from a knee surgery. He has been retained by CSK and the 42-year-old will lead CSK next year in the IPL 2024. This year, MS Dhoni captained CSK to their 5th IPL title.
