Matthew Wade Trolled Himself On Stump-Mic By Compairing Himself To Dhoni

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is regarded as one of the greatest wicketkeeper-batsman to have played the game. His lightning-fast stumpings used to leave everyone stunned. Even though the cricketer has retired from the game, but the fans just can’t stop missing him. Every now and then we see fans and cricketers comparing a stumping from a wicket-keeper to that of Dhoni.

And this time it was Australia’s stand-in keeper Matthew Wade, who trolled himself by comparing himself with Dhoni during the just-concluded second T20I match.

This happened during the 9th over of India’s innings, when the opener Shikhar Dhawan, who was playing brilliantly, was tied up smartly by Mitchell Swepson. He missed a fierce cut-off the fifth ball of the over. And while doing so, he lifted his foot for a fraction of a second.

Behind the stumps, Matthew Wade was waiting for Dhawan to lift his foot. He smartly disturbed the stumps when the batsman lifted his foot to appeal for the stumping. The matter was then sent upstairs to the third umpire and in the replays, it was clear that Shikhar Dhawan managed to bring his foot down before the bails were dislodged.

He was ruled ‘not-out’ and this is when the wicketkeeper Matthew Wade said something, which left everyone in splits, including Shikhar Dhawan. Wade was heard saying on the stump-mic that his efforts weren’t as quick as MS Dhoni.

The incident has caught everyone’s attention and the video of the same has been going viral on social media.
