The home of cricket is to be the place on Saturday as MCC XI take on the Rest of the World (ROW) XI to celebrate the 200th anniversary of cricket. It promises to be a fantastic day of cricket as the leading test scorers of all time is up against the greatest bowlers of all time. The big names just don’t stop here.

The MCC XI batting line-up looks very formidable. The team contains four of the leading test run scorers of all time; Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid from India and Brain Lara and Shivnarine Chanderpaul from West Indies. Sri Lankan bowling legend Muttiah Muralidharan will be seen bowling in tandem with the Australian legend Shane Warne as the rest of the India will look to skittle out the hosts with their spin bowling master class. With the bat, ROW have the likes of blistering hitters like, Adam Gilchrist, Virender Sehwag, Kevin Pietersen and Yuvraj Singh.

This match will be watched with great enthusiasm, considering the fact that all time greats of the game are being honored, and midst all the fixing cases that have tried to shred the image of the game to a great extent. This match will act as the much needed break from all the corruption scams and the “power” games that are being played by the BIG3. Far away from all the business of the game, the cricket lovers will get a chance to just enjoy one of the most star-studded cricket matches, ever.

It will also bring a reminisce to each and every cricket lover that even though the time has changed, the value of the legends who have now retired, still holds a great place in the hearts of cricket lovers.

This match will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the cricket lovers, and we must live each and every moment of it. It will be a great chance to relive the memories of the Sharjah battle of 1998 between Tendulkar and Warne, the elegant cover drives of Rahul Dravid, the celebrations of Bret Lee after taking a wicket and many more.
