Meet Yuzvendra Chahal’s New Travel Partner

Even though it hasn’t been the best of times for Yuzvendra Chahal professionally, the wily leg-spinner has kept up his spirits off the field.

Out of the current Indian XI due to underwhelming form and reportedly injury issues, Chahal has had a great bond with Kuldeep Yadav, though both essentially contend for the same spot as the leg-spinner in the Indian team.

Chahal is well known for his hilarious antics on social media as the 31-year-old keeps entertaining the fans with his comical reels and captions on social media.

After India’s third ODI against New Zealand, as the team got on the flight on their way to go to Indore for the third ODI, Chahal used Instagram’s gender-swap filter to turn Kuldeep Yadav’s picture into a woman.

Seems like Chahal’s wife Dhanashree too won’t mind Chahal having the company of this new female travel partner!

India clinch another home series

Meanwhile, it seems that Chahal’s wait for a return to the Indian XI might end in Indore. Since India have clinched the series with a 2-0 unassailable lead now, they might look to give some more game time to their senior leg-spinner as India aim to finalize their players for the home World Cup, wherein Chahal could play a massive role.

Chahal last played for India in the ODI against Sri Lanka after which he was ruled out owing to an injury. But Chahal has been traveling with the team and bowling in the nets. In Chahal’s absence, Kuldeep has grabbed his chances, picking up 8 wickets in 4 ODIs.

With 5 straight ODI victories, India also have 113 ratining points – same as England and New Zealand – and are third on the rankings in ODIs. India have a clear chance of going to the top soon. If India defeat New Zealand in the third and final ODI of the three-match series, they will climb to no. 1 position in the ODI rankings.
