For the second time in this first week of the World Cup 2023, South Africa captain Temba Bavuma was once again the topic of jokes and memes on social media. This time as the pictures of his meeting with former WWE wrestler The Great Khali in Ahmedabad went viral, fans made hilarious memes on the Protea skipper.
The 10 captains met The Great Khali at the Narendra Modi Stadium earlier this week and the legendary India wrestler was gifted a giant t-shirt by the captains.
The ICC introduced the Great Khali as “Cricket’s Biggest Fan”. The ICC uploaded the video of the captains’ meeting with Khali on their social media handles.

Temba Bavuma was standing alongside the captains and almost was the height of the giant t-shirt that was gifted to Khali.
Bavuma is a short-height person, having a height of only 5′ 4″, and looked even smaller standing beside Khali who measures a whopping 7′ 1″ height. This was certain to lead to some hilarious jokes and memes on social media.

Temba Bavuma is set to captain South Africa in the World Cup. The 33-year-old South African skipper had missed both of South Africa’s warm-up matches as he had travelled back home for family reasons.
The Proteas will kick-start their World Cup campaign on October 7, against Sri Lanka in Delhi. The Proteas were previously given big jolts as fast bowlers Anrich Nortje and Sisanda Magala were ruled out of the tournament due to injuries.
Last month, Bavuma had scored a brilliant century against Australia in the first ODI, although it went in a losing cause. He scored a fifty as well in the 3rd ODI, and missed the 5th ODI due to a inner thigh muscle strain, but now he’s completely fit.
