As exciting and anticipated as the clash between Virat Kohli And Naveen-ul-Haq, it finally ended with a handshake and a hug.

India and Afghanistan met for their World Cup 2023 encounter on Wednesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, which is the home city of Virat Kohli.

The Delhi crowd was taunting and teasing Naveen throughout the day with chants of “Kohli Kohli”. The decibel levels reached a high when Naveen was bowling to Kohli, a contest everyone was eagerly waiting for.

However, none of the two cricketers showed any unnecessary aggression or any form of animosity toward each other. In fact, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq shook each other’s hands, and even shared a brief hug.

This hug and handshake led to a spate of memes and various kinds of reactions from fans on social media.

Memes on Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq’s hug:

Rohit Sharma’s record-breaking century leads India to comfortable win

Chasing a target of 273, India captain and opener Rohit Sharma blasted a record-breaking century in 63 balls against Afghanistan.

Sharma now has 7 centuries in the World Cup, the highest of all time, going past Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 6 World Cup centuries. He also now has hit the most number of international sixes, going past Chris Gayle’s tally of 553 sixes.

Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah shined with the ball for India taking a 4-wicket haul. For Afghanistan, middle-order batters Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai batted well, scoring 80 and 62 runs respectively to take the total of 272, which was made a mockery later by Rohit.
