However, it was Romario Shepherd who emerged as the hero of the match, scoring an unbeaten 39 runs and ensuring that Mumbai finished with a massive total on their home ground. Shepherd’s explosive innings included a remarkable 32 runs off the final over bowled by Anrich Nortje.

Thanks to his brilliant display, Mumbai set a daunting target of 234 runs for Delhi Capitals to chase. Among the Delhi Capitals bowlers, Axar Patel stood out with figures of 2/35 in his allotted 4 overs.

Delhi Capitals lost to Mumbai Indians by 29 runs despite strong performances from Prithvi Shaw and Tristan Stubbs. Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee were the standout bowlers for Mumbai.
