Over the years, MS Dhoni’s batting position has been a matter of debate. As the new edition of the Indian Premier League is about to kickstart from September 19th in UAE, once again the debate on his batting position has started.
While a majority of people believe that the best batting position for MS Dhoni to bat is number four but the keeper-batsman has played some memorable performances and has donned the role of the finisher for team India.

However, for Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni has often come out to bat at number four and saved many matches with his brilliant performances. While everyone has started with their discussions on MS Dhoni’s stint with the team, CSK batting coach, Michael Hussey revealed the ideal slot for MS Dhoni to bat.
In an interview with India Today, Hussey revealed:
“No. 4 is ideal for Dhoni to bat, but everyone in the middle-order will need to adapt as per the situation,”

Michael Hussey then opened up about the upcoming challenges in the league because of the Coronavirus situation. He revealed:
“[They need to] Just get in the ground and do the hard work. We are lucky to have a lot of experienced players in our ranks who know their game well. They also know what they need to prepare and how to be ready for the task.” 
He added:
“Very excited about the tournament going ahead and interested to see how it will all go with no crowds and staying in a strict bio-secure bubble. It will definitely not be easy, but we must be disciplined and stick to the rules for the benefit of everyone’s health,”
“Fans are a huge support base for us. Because of the situation, crowds won’t be there. But I believe we will play with the same intensity,”
