Former England skipper Michael Vaughan, in a surprising turn of events, heaped praises on the Indian cricketers as he wrote a beautiful tweet after the second match of the IPL between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings last night.

Rishabh Pant’s new stint as the skipper of Delhi Capitals got off to a memorable start as DC defeated CSK in their IPL opener at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Chasing a total of 189 runs for victory, Rishabh Pant led Delhi Capitals defeated CSK by a 7-wicket victory with 8 balls to spare, riding on the powerful performances of Shikhar Dhawan (85) and Prithvi Shaw (72).

Rishabh also played a crucial cameo and played an unbeaten knock 15* runs off 12 balls, and took his team to the winning side.

Earlier in the game, Suresh Raina made a stunning comeback in the IPL as he played a powerful knock of 54 runs off 36 balls for CSK. Ambatti Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja also played instrumental knocks to stitch a target of 188 runs for DC.  However, CSK’s bowlers failed to defend their target and lost the game to DC.

Meanwhile, impressed with the performances of Indian cricketers in the game, a former England skipper took to his Twitter and heaped praises on the Indian cricketers. He wrote a beautiful tweet, where he claimed that the depth of talent in the Indian cricket scene is so immense that they could dominate for an era in all the formats of the game.

Vaughan also claimed that the talent in the Indian cricket team is so immense that 2 teams can easily be put out of these players. He wrote:

“The depth of talent in Indian Cricket is immense … they should dominate for an era in all formats they are that good … Could easily put out 2 teams … #IPL2021″
