After the test series between India and Sri Lanka is all set to fruitfully conclude for India, the two teams would then be gearing up for the ODI encounters. The 3 Match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will commence from December 10.

The second match of the series will be played at Mohali and this would be the farewell for Dhoni. This Dhoni however is the sniffer dog who would be retiring from police services during the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka. Dhoni is a white Labrador who has served the Mohali police for a decade and an official farewell ceremony will be hosted to retire Dhoni, the sniffer dog at the PCA, Mohali.

Dhoni joined the Mohali police when he was just 3 months old and since then he’s been a big asset for them. He has assisted the Mohali police in many high profile security operations since then. Dhoni also assisted the police in a vital manner when Mohali hosted the India Pakistan World Cup 2011 semi final game.

This information was furnished by Amrik Singh, the incharge of the dog squad. John and Preeti are the other two dogs who’d be retiring with Dhoni too.

Dhoni is a specialist The dog squad in charge also informed that Dhoni likes to sleep for 6-7 hours a day and he’s a specialist in sniffing operations. The other two dogs too would get an official farewell with all regards and prestige.
