Mohammad Azharuddin Made A Big Statement On Virat Kohli’s Request For A Break: Just a few days ahead of the Indian cricket team’s departure for South Africa for the 3-match Test series the news of Rohit Sharma being injured left the fans disappointed. While the fans were still dealing with the news, another news that came out as a big disappointment to the fans was the decision of Virat Kohli to take a break from the upcoming ODI series.

Well, it was learned that while Rohit will be fit to fly to South Africa for the ODI series, Virat has himself pulled himself out of the limited-overs series in order to spend some time with his family. The BCCI has already confirmed Rohit Sharma’s injury and his absence from the upcoming Test series, but no official statement has been made on Virat Kohli’s decision to take a break, so far.

Meanwhile, former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin took to Twitter to point out his concern over Virat Kohli’s break and Sharma’s injury. In his Tweet, Azhar expressed that though the cricketers are supposed to take breaks, but it is the timing of the announcement that comes into question here.

Even Mohammad Azharuddin admitted that the nature of the whole scene is bound to trigger the speculations of a rift between Rohit and Virat. He wrote:

“Virat Kohli has informed that he’s not available for the ODI series & Rohit Sharma is unavailable fr d upcoming test. There is no harm in takin a break but d timing has to be better. This just substantiates speculation abt d rift. Neither wil be giving up d other form of cricket.”

Meanwhile, a top BCCI official has put a full stop to all such speculations. “There is no truth in reports of Virat skipping the ODIs,” said a top BCCI official as quoted by Cricbuzz.
