Mohammed Shami Can Break This World Record In ICC Champions Trophy 2017

Mohammed Shami is one of the best fast bowlers in India. His ability to swing the ball both ways at pace is his biggest strength and Indian cricket fans would be hoping that he stays fit and performs well for Team India in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Ever since his ODI debut, Mohammed Shami has been a big asset for India. He is a complete bowler as he can trouble the batsmen with swing with the new ball and comeback later in death overs and bowl deadly reverse-swinging yorkers.

In his ODI career so far, Mohammed Shami has taken 87 ODI wickets in 47 matches. Now, he is on the verge of becoming the fastest bowler to take 100 ODI wickets. Shami is chasing Australian pacer Mitchell Starc to become the fastest to 100 ODI wickets.

Starc took 100 wickets in 52 ODIs and Shami need 13 in 4 matches to better his record and 5 to equal. Shami has taken 87 wickets at a healthy average of 24.89 and an economy of 5.54. The best part about his numbers is that he strikes every 27 balls.
