Mohammed Shami Wrote A Very Emotional Post For His Mother

India’s sensational bowler Mohammed Shami penned down an emotional note for his mother as he called him his role model.

On Tuesday, the champion white-ball specialist took to his Facebook and shared a beautiful picture of his mother with himself. Sharing the beautiful picture, Mohammed Shami came up with an emotional caption, where he called him his role model. He wrote:

“My mother was my role model before I even knew what that word was.”

Meanwhile, senior fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who was one of the 10 marquee players on the auction list, was purchased by Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 mega-auction on Saturday. He was bought for a whopping Rs. 6.25 crore.

He was released by Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL 2022 auction as he did a commendable job of late in the tournament. He was bought by the Punjab-based franchise in the IPL 2019 auction. In his IPL career of 79 matches, Shami has claimed 79 wickets at 30.40.

Shami’s best performance in the IPL has come in the last three seasons where he picked 19, 20, and 19 scalps respectively. Mohammed Shami has an overall economy rate of 8.62 and has the best bowling performance of 3/15 in the IPL. Mohammed Shami will aim to lend his voice for the Gujarat Titans, where he will be leading their bowling attack and a lot will revolve around him.

On being picked by Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.5 crore at the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2022, mega auctions, Shami said that he is very excited to join the new franchise. He said:

“I am very happy and looking forward to the team as soon as possible. Will try to give 100 per cent to this franchise and get the best results possible,” said the pacer.

“I always want to leave a mark behind for the youngsters to follow. So, I will be frank with all the young players in the squad to motivate them to perform better for the team. These youngsters will be performing well and it will be a good sign for our country,” he added.
