Who has the most ducks in IPL?

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma holds the embarrassing record of 16 ducks in the IPL – the most in the tournament’s history so far.

Next on the list are Sunil Narine, Mandeep Singh and Dinesh Karthik – all three with 15 ducks each.

Rohit Sharma recently became the batsman with the highest number of ducks in the IPL after CSK’s Deepak Chahar dismissed him for naught when the two sides faced in Chennai on Saturday afternoon for their second match of the IPL 2023.

Surprisingly, Rohit had demoted himself in the batting order and came in at number 3.

However, there was no change in his fortunes as he couldn’t open his account – bagging his second consecutive duck after one in the previous match against Punjab Kings in Mohali – and was out for a 3-ball duck.

With MS Dhoni coming up at the stumps, Rohit couldn’t get out of his crease and he tried to lap Chahar over the keeper, but managed a top edge and was caught at point by Ravindra Jadeja.

With this score of zero against CSK, Rohit Sharma attained his 16th duck in the IPL. No batsman has been dismissed for zero in the IPL as much or more as the MI captain.

Mumbai Indians manage only 139

On what was not a diffucult pitch at all, MI managed an under-par score of 139. They lost their top three of Kishan, Green, and Rohit inside the first 3 overs.

The in-form Suryakumar Yadav (26) forged a fightning partnership with youngster Nehal Wadhera (64), but SKY got out at the wrong time. Wadhera recorded his maiden IPL fifty but kept losing partners from the other end. The three CSK pacers – Chahar, Deshpande, and Pathirana – combined for 7 wickets out of the 8 MI lost.
