IPL Governing Committee’s Latest Decision Will Have A Big Impact On CSK And MS Dhoni

In Indian Premier League (IPL), MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is one of the most beautiful love story. CSK has been a perfect synonym to Dhoni’s presence in the Indian Premier League till the two times champion team was banned owing to fixing charges. The other team to take the blunt was the Rajasthan Royals who bagged the inaugural title.

With both the shunned teams set to make a comeback in the next instalment of the high voltage cricket league there are speculations about Dhoni returning to Chennai Super Kings (and we cannot imagine a CSK without Dhoni hence we would love to see him in the yellow colours.

Both these franchises which will return after a ban might be allowed to retain their players who played for the Rising Pune Super Giants and the Gujrat Lions in the last two editions. This however will only be possible if the IPL Governing Council’s proposal pertaining to it is accepted by other franchises in the November workshop.

If this proposal gets the nod then Dhoni will by default come to the CSK kitty and this would make his Chennai fans celebrate another Diwali. CSK would be so incomplete if their ‘Thalla’ is absent. Even M.S Dhoni would be more than happy to return to his own team.

He played for Pune in the last 2 editions but you could make out easily that he missed his CSK badly and we might just see him and his fans back in action. M.S Dhoni has expressed great elation time and again on the possibilities of returning to CSK and his love for CSK is undying. There is a deep emotional connect between Dhoni and CSK and that is always prominent. NO COLOR IN IPL SUITS DHONI AS MUCH AS YELLOW!

Just like Dhoni his CSK teammates, Suresh Raina who has been away from International Cricket for a while and ‘Sir Jadeja’ too would be highly elated to once again don the yellow jersey. Ajinkya Rahane would be happy too to return to Rajasthan Royals.

3 Minimum retentions as per the proposal

The IPL Governing Committee sat together on Tuesday to discuss the nuances of the aforementioned proposal. The committee said that the idea is to allow minimum of three retentions including one Indian Player and two players from abroad.  The committee made it clear that players who played for Gujarat and Pune can be retained if the proposal gets the nod from other franchises.

In an interview Rajiv Shukla, the chairman of Indian Premier League said that the total retentions could be between 3 and 5 subject to agreement by other franchises. He also stated that most franchises are also demanding the salary purse to be raised to 75 Crore.
