India’s young batsman, KL Rahul, impressed one and all in the T20I series against West Indies in the United States of America. Rahul scored his first T20I hundred and almost, single-handedly, took India to victory.

KL Rahul also batted brilliantly in the Test series and scored a 150 on his Test comeback.KL Rahul finished the Test series as the 3rd highest run scorer, just behind India’s captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, where he played a match less than the duo.

In an interview, KL Rahul was asked about MS Dhoni’s captaincy and what he brings to the team with calmness and years of years of experience. Rahul heaped praises on his limited over captain MS Dhoni and said he is the best captain the world has ever seen and Virat Kohli-India’s Test captain is more passionate and energetic about his job.

This is what KL Rahul said about MS Dhoni’s captaincy:

“With MS having so much experience behind him he understands what is best for the team. He is obviously the best captain that India or the world has ever seen there is no doubt about that. When he is in the dressing room there is a bit of calm, you know that the captain is doing most of the thinking, he will give you your roles & responsibilities and you just need to go and play them out.”

And this what he had to say about India’s Test captain Virat Kohli:

“When it comes to Virat he is more energetic & has more passion. He wants the boys to be in the face of the players (opposition), be aggressive on the field and express themselves. We enjoy playing with both of them as leaders and both of them set great examples for rest of the boys in the team. They are great leaders and the team is in safe hands with both of them as leaders.”
