MS Dhoni, is one of the most loved and respected cricketer around the world, who is known for his brilliant performances, great captaincy and his humble nature. MS Dhoni was the most successful captain of Indian cricket team in the history of this game in India. He has won many trophies, but however, if you have closely noticed Dhoni must have observed this many times that as soon as the team wins the trophy, he disappears after a few seconds. In the latest concluded season of IPL, we all saw how MS Dhoni was busy in playing with Ziva Dhoni and spending time with the cricketers, rather than posing with the trophy like all the other cricketers.

Recently, in an interview, a same question was asked to MS Dhoni as to why he doesn’t spend time with the trophy. MS Dhoni’s reply to the answer will make you respect him even more, he said :

“Well, don’t you think, it is unfair that you play a team sport where the captain goes and receives the trophy? It’s like an over exposure. Let’s say that you already have an over exposure of like 15 seconds and after that I don’t really think that you are needed to be there. Of course, we all like the celebration and you want to be part of it. But it’s not like that you have to be with the trophy.”

He further added :

“That’s why, in a team environment, we try to make it as simple as possible. And as I said, 15 seconds of over exposure has already happened, so no point clinging onto the trophy. Also, maybe if you don’t spend enough time with the trophy, you get a chance or you want to win another one so that you get another of those 15 seconds.”

Well, he surely has a heart of gold. Such an inspiration he is.
